Navara Terms of Service
Last updated: October 27, 2026. DRAFT: not yet reviewed by a lawyer.
Welcome to Navara. These terms are the rules for using the Navara app and website (the "Service"). We wrote them in plain language. By creating an account or using Navara, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Navara.
Who runs Navara
Navara is run by Nicholas Cantalupo, an individual in the United States ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@getnavara.app.
What Navara is (and isn't)
Navara helps students discover colleges and see which ones might be a good fit, based on the information you choose to share, like your grades, test scores, location and preferences.
Navara is a starting point for your research. It is not admissions, financial aid or legal advice, and it does not predict or guarantee whether you will be admitted anywhere. College information can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Always check details, like deadlines, costs and requirements, with the college itself before making decisions.
Who can use Navara
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, please make sure a parent, guardian or school staff member knows you are using Navara. If we learn that someone under 13 has an account, we will delete it.
Your account
- Give us accurate information and keep your login details to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at support@getnavara.app if you think someone else is using your account.
How you can use Navara
Please don't:
- Break the law or use Navara to harm, harass or deceive anyone.
- Try to break into, overload or disrupt Navara or its data.
- Copy, scrape or resell Navara's content or data in bulk.
- Pretend to be someone else or use another person's account.
- Use Navara to send spam or advertising.
We can suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Your information
What you share with Navara stays yours. You give us permission to use it only to run and improve the Service, for example to produce your college matches. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Colleges, names and logos
College and university names, and any logos or marks, belong to those schools. Navara is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any college or university unless we clearly say so. We use school names only to identify them.
Our content
Navara's design, software, text and original content belong to us. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial use of the Service, but you may not copy or reuse them otherwise.
Changes, outages and ending your use
We may change, pause or stop parts of Navara at any time, and Navara may sometimes be unavailable. You can stop using Navara at any time. To delete your account and data, email support@getnavara.app and we will process your request within 30 days.
No promises about results
Navara is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet your needs.
Limit of our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on Navara's information. Because Navara is free, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make an important change, we will tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Navara after a change means you accept the new terms.
Legal details
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
